West Kirby Business Network (WKBN) – is a network run by Lynne Gregory of Stripe Virtual Services and David Edwards of Edwards Bonding Solutions Ltd to facilitate and engender a community spirit within the network.

  • WKBN (West Kirby Business Network) is an introduction service for the business community of West Kirby and surrounding areas.
  • WKBN does not conduct any form of due diligence on any of its subscribers and any paid subscription is to access the advertising on the WKBN website and social media platforms.
  • If subscribers choose to work with or for other WKBN subscribers this is at their own risk and WKBN nor will Lynne Gregory or David Edwards be held liable for any losses sustained.
  • In particular but not limited to, we are not liable to you for the following:
  • Incompatibility of The Website with any of your computer or telecommunications equipment or software.
  • Technical problems or errors or interruptions of The Website.
  • Inadequacy of The Website to meet your requirements.
  • To the full extent allowed by applicable law, you agree that we will not be liable to you or any third party for any consequential or incidental damages (included but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of profits, loss of anticipated savings, wasted expenditure, loss of privacy or loss of data) or any other indirect, special or punitive damages whatsoever that arise out of or are related to The Website.
  • Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or fraud.
  • WKBN events unless otherwise stated are free to attend for subscribers and their guests. Where refreshments are provided subscribers are expected to pay for these unless the venue states otherwise.
  • For paid events WKBN are unable to give a full refund in the event of non-attendance without notice, regardless of the circumstances. For courses we will try to find you another place on a similar course or you can nominate a friend to take your place.
  • In the event of sufficient notice being given (two months) we will refund 75% of your payment, the remainder will cover the administration costs of refilling the place.
  • WKBN also reserve the right to cancel any paid event/workshop/course if there is insufficient demand. We will confirm the workshop is running two months before the actual date so please don’t leave it too late in booking your place.
  • Tickets for events are not transferable without first contacting us.
  • Tickets cannot be exchanged, transferred, or resold for commercial gain.
  • No food drink, accommodation or transport, is provided unless stated.
  • Please note travel and equipment insurance is not included, please provide your own if required, as WKBN cannot accept any liability for loss damage or injury to you, your vehicle or equipment.
  • WKBN do not tolerate racial, sexual, religious or abusive behaviour whether it be verbal or physical from any subscriber, either towards organisers/venues or other subscribers, should you take part in any behaviour which is deemed unsuitable you will be removed from the network/event/course without a refund. In extreme cases legal action will be taken.
  • Please make us aware of any medical/disability issue that may affect your ability to take part so that these might be addressed. WKBN will try and ensure that all venues are DDA compliant and offer access to those with disabilities, however, this cannot be guaranteed. If in doubt please ask or contact the venue.
  • Each participant takes part in events organised by WKBN at their own risk, we will give a safety briefing at the start of each session, but it is up to the participant to decide whether they are confident enough or physically able to take part in each session. If you have any questions, please contact us directly.”
  • We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
  • WKBN are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully in accordance with GDPR see our privacy statement (link)
  • If we intend to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) we will always obtain your consent first. We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. This can include using a “cookie” which would be stored on your browser. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings.
  • These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and any disputes will be decided only by the English courts. Any contracts between you and us are concluded in English.
  • If any of these Terms and Conditions is held by any court of competent authority to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, in whole or in part, this will not affect the validity of the remaining Terms and Conditions which will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  • If you breach these Terms and Conditions and we ignore this, we will still be entitled to use our rights and remedies at a later date or in any other situation where you breach the Terms and Conditions.
  • We shall not be liable for any breach of these Terms and Conditions beyond our reasonable control.
  • A person who is not a party to these Terms and Conditions shall have no right under the Contract (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term of these Terms and Conditions but this shall not affect any right or remedy of a third party which exists or is available apart from that Act.
